Pan-Pacifica is a secret realm, most people aren't even aware that a mysterious High Lord has executed a massive corporate takeover of Japan, Korea, and much of China and other Asian countries. They are aware however, of a pandemic that has turned people into raving cannibals called "jiangshi" or "hopping vampires". The Kanawa Corporation has developed technologies to help stem the tide of the epidemic, but their methods are curtailing freedom while lining their pockets with profits.
Even the Delphi Council is unsure that an invader has successfully taken over parts of Asia due to effective fake news and social media campaigns.

The realm has changed from the Japanese-centric Nippon Tech to Pan-Pacifica with a larger scope. In the real world, technology has advanced past the old Torg's Nippon Tech realm, and so Pan-Pacifica is now even more advanced, but more in the areas of biotech and psionics. The jiangshi are a new element as well, creating some new challenges for Storm Knights in the region.
